I challenged myself this time by drawing full-page poses. I couldn't color the whole thing under the time limit but I had finished them before I left the bar

5 min sketches. I added the stylized ones when I got home.


Once again, I whip out my Lil' Hands pens and scribble against the clock.

Dr. Sketchy's "Curse of the Black Widow"

Last night I got to attend my first Dr. Sketchy event during the lovely art exhibit of Spidersilk Productions. The artworks of the Spidersilk trio, the set-up of the place and the costumes provided a nice ambience for a night of figure-drawing and drinking.

Some warm-up sketches. Top right is the model, Ms. Prudence, before she got on the couch in her burlesque outfit.


I had sketched things hurriedly so I can add in the colors before time was up.


Some of the audience and the caterers (who were all wearing steampunk or goth) volunteered to model.

Big thanks to Spidersilk Productions for hosting the exhibit. Along with Dr. Sketchy, the Technoteapot exhibit brought together artists and enthusiasts to appreciate art and draw for themselves.

Aside from wanting to share I how I draw stuff, recording myself makes me conscious about speed and technique. As if someone is looking over my shoulder and I have to make this look interesting.

Sorry if you get dizzy with how I turn the paper around like a DJ. Haha

Wow Locust, You're So Cool

Developing a more identifying comic style for my plague freaks in terms of line art and coloring.
My worries are it'll look like Skottie Young's (color palette) or Ben Templesmith's (inks) style but I'm just drawing it the way it feels right for me.

Broadway Star

Been listening to Chicago over and over again during vacation.

This sketch took several hours because I had kept changing my mind about the composition. I want it to be a wallpaper but also make it easy to convert into a portrait print.

The background elements are art deco while the costumes are inspired by burlesque. I hope it won't look like there's a disconnection because of the different genres. Then again, meh on the possible anachronism, this was fun to draw.
